Departure from your hotel around 8:30 a.m. - 9 a.m.
Your first destination will be Wat Rong Khun, also known as the White Temple. This temple, famous for its dazzling whiteness, is one of the most emblematic and unmissable monuments of Chiang Rai. Designed by Thai artist Chalermchai Kositpipat, it is both beautiful and surprising, and continues to expand with new buildings, some of which are no longer white.
Then you will continue your adventure by tuk -tuk to Wat Rong Suea Ten, the Blue Temple of Chiang Rai. Although more modest in size than the White Temple, it is just as impressive, particularly for its interior decorated with blue frescoes and its White Buddha. Many visitors prefer it to the White Temple.
Your third colorful tuk-tuk tour of the day will be the Black House of Chiang Rai, or Baan Dam em>. This site, less colorful and sometimes a little dark, offers an interesting contrast and a unique experience.
You will then discover Wat Huay Prakan, where there is a gigantic statue of Guan Yin, the Chinese goddess of Compassion. A magnificent white staircase decorated with majestic dragons leads to this statue, which you can also admire from the inside for an impressive panoramic view.
Finally, you will end the day at the Lalita Café, renowned for its magical atmosphere with artificial waterfalls and lush vegetation, making it the most famous and beautiful cafe in Chiang Rai.
Lunch (included in the price) will be served at a local restaurant.
This tuk-tuk tour includes a Thai driver speaking some English who will take you to the different locations, but no guide is provided. Entrance fees to the sites visited are your responsibility (around 280 THB per person, details in the price section) as well as lunch in a small, inexpensive restaurant (60-70 THB).
